Are you my mother?

UPDATE: Mona was adopted just before Christmas, 2017! What a happy ending for a deserving puppy.

This past September I went for an orientation session at Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society (AARCS). While there I saw a beautiful sweet dog who'd had a litter of nine (nine!!) puppies. They were still nursing (poor mama) and were all adorable. One stood out to me though. She was white with a black patch over her left eye and had a black right ear, and was a bit smaller than the others. My heart skipped a beat.

Imagine my surprise when a volunteer opportunity came up to photograph a certain little black and white puppy ... and it was her! Her name is Mona and she's available for adoption!

This weekend I met sweet little Mona and was greeted by a happy, friendly, bouncy puppy full of excited puppiness exuberance and joy. My goodness, she definitely stole a piece of my heart. And those ears! They are so adorable the way they pop up and then go down again.

Mona has some special needs but with the right person willing to help her this girl is going to bring someone so much joy and love. She gets along great with cats, other dogs, and people. If you want to walk in the door to be greeted by a puppy so thrilled to see you she can barely contain herself, Mona is the dog for you!
