Meet Buford

Nov. 10, 2017 UPDATE: Buford has been adopted!

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing Buford, a two-year old Basset Hound. At the moment he's in medical care with Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society - AARCS. His foster mom says he's doing well and should be ready for adoption soon. I hope it doesn't take long for this sweet boy to find his forever home. He deserves it.

Hi, my name is Buford and I am an affectionate low rider looking for a family to call my own.

I came into care with a horrible ear infection — the vets think I have food allergies which caused them. I’ve been put on a special diet which I like very much but I still beg every day for scraps from the table. Don’t let my height fool you — if you turn your back on your dinner plate I know how to use the chair to get snacks from the table! It took me a few days to adjust to my new home so I had a few accidents and whined a bit, but once I settled in I didn’t mind spending my day lounging about, playing with my foster sister and making friends with the furry thing you call a cat. I was raised with small children and am doing great getting along with the baby in my foster home. I LOVE attention, so expect me to be by your side looking for pets when I’m not napping. I don’t know very many tricks yet, but if you worked with me I’m sure I could learn!

True to my breed I’m an absolute card! Don’t miss your chance to laugh at my antics!
